I've done that before too; that's why I've been careful for Doctor Who to not read people's reactions to it til after I'd seen it myself. I was already sensitive enough about the fact that it was Moffat, but overall, I enjoyed the two-parter. It definitely wasn't as good as The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances and Blink, but River Song... I liked her, I liked her a lot. And since I was expecting to dislike her, this helped a lot in making the episode likeable.

I guess the only thing is that this basically ensures that there's yet another painful period in the Doctor's future. Seriously, the writers are sadistic!
