Rose, Jack, and Sarah Jane
It's been in the back of my mind, but I was suddenly struck by this today.
I was thinking about this.
But...
Rose has not seen Jack since the end of S1. That means, for the entire time she was in the parallel world, and the relative year of S2... we saw the return of Jack in S3, but that was us and that was the Doctor. That wasn't Rose. They talked about Rose, Jack obviously misses her more than words, he risked time and space to see her as a chiold, and he also doesn't seem to blame her for bringing him back to life permanently. And I'll always remember how happy he was when he found out that she wasn't dead, that Rose Tyler was a live and kicking. Albeit in a parallel world.
So.
Jack is coming back in the finale. Rose will be back in the last three episodes. They'll probably have a reunion of sorts.
IS ANYONE AS EXCITED ABOUT THIS AS I AM? I've been thinking about this for the last couple weeks, and while my usual Rose!glee is related to just the fact that she's BACK and what it'll mean for the Doctor, I've been thinking that Jack and Rose's reunion is just going to be so kickass wonderful.
And Sarah Jane! Sarah Jane and Rose got on beautifully after School Reunion and I always felt that given the chance, they would have turned into great friends. The parallel world took that all away and I wondered about a number of things. Jack eventually found out that Rose wasn't actually dead, but did Sarah Jane? To her, Rose would be dead, because the Doctor never went back to tell her (as far as we can tell). For Sarah Jane, that lovely girl who she'd met only a few months prior, would have been dead at Canary Wharf.
It makes me wonder how they'll play the reunion. I'm really hoping for some moments between Rose and Sarah Jane. Or rather, I hope they recognize that Rose is someone Sarah Jane probably thought had died and yet here she is. Completely changed. The girl in School Reunion is completely different from the Rose we've seen in trailers. I really want to see how they'll portray that difference in Rose's relationships with Jack and Sarah Jane.
AND ON A SEPARATE NOTE. I CAN'T WAIT FOR SARAH JANE TO MEET JACK HARKNESS.

...but all that ranting settled into my mind into only one thought. "Ooooh, can I have some Doctor/Rose/Jack now?" ~facepalm~ My mind doesn't want to go above the belt right now for some reason. ~sigh~
