I keep watching the same clip (you know, THAT CLIP) on youtube over and over and over and I've started muting it and watching it while listening to various pieces of music and this is really starting to get sad.

(Red Hot Chili Peppers', "Snow (Hey Oh)" is working really well)

This clip if you're still confused. Spoilers for The Stolen Earth.

favorite part of that clip )

I need to stop talking about Doctor Who.
demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Default)
The new episode was so crazy and wonderful that this didn't occur to me until now.

so where art thou, Bad Wolf? and other spoilers )

My head is aching, just a bit.
demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Default)
I'm so very biased, but I loved this episode's Confidential!

WHEE! )

Gosh, I feel like running myself!

ASDFGHJKLJFEOPJRFEL:JFKEJLRFE.

This was an episode worth waiting for. First of all.

Wow.

And also, I cried like fucking baby.

oh, and I need a new box of tissues. This really is only about one aspect of the episode. )

Is it the season finale yet?

Pretty please?
demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Default)
I haven't been this excited about a new episode of anything in a long, long time. I actually had the episode for a few hours before I settled in to watch it.

And was it worth it?

Oh my. Yes. So yes.

so many chills going up and down my spine! )

I am so happy with this episode.

LOVE IT TO PIECES.

Love "Turn Left"!

Why do the majority of Fandom Secrets that involve Doctor Who seem to find it necessary to diss Rose?

She wasn't perfect, but measuring one companion's pain to another companion's pain is just plain tacky.
demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Default)
With the feeling of I Can't Believe It's Here, and with the looming promise of season finale of Doctor Who, I wanted to get into some of my own 'favorite' moments from the first three seasons. And since you-know-what is coming up, lets go with Rose.

picspam and my top ten favorite Rose moments. SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT MY RANDOM WHIM. )

ROSE TYLER, I LOVE YOU.
demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Default)
Whew, the last episode before the return of you-know-who. And, dude, TOTAL FANTASTICNESS.

lots of love for Midnight )

Blargh, I keep thinking about the next three weeks and it's either going to fillet me open into vaguely-human-like shapes or I'm going to spend most of it in bouts of weeping, hysterical laughter, and doomdoomdoomdoomdoom.

... this does not help with me moving. In six weeks, I've got to be packed up and moving from ONE COUNTRY TO ANOTHER.

Oh life, I'm glad you're such a non-rule-following-thing, but I've got an apartment to clean and stuff to send and planes to plan and I've got three weeks of nail-biting.

THIS IS GOING TO BE A TRIP. Yay.

Rose

I am going to cry for the last three episodes of this season. I just know it.

And you know what? At this point, rationally, I know that there won't be some miraculous happy ending with Rose and the Doctor and you know what? I hardly care. All I want?

I want Rose Tyler to have her happy ending. I hope with everything in me that you had and will have a happy and rich and fulfilling life. I want that for you, Rose Tyler and I haven't been this attached to a character since Akito of Fruits Basket.

I love you, Rose Tyler! All I want from Doctor Who is a bright and beautiful future!

Okay. I'm done with being sentimental. Back to our regular programming!
demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Default)
It's been in the back of my mind, but I was suddenly struck by this today.

spoilers for the end of S4 Doctor Who )

*sad* Only six episodes left...
demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Default)
OMFG!

My flist has exploded!

I love it!

Because...

whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo - spoilers! )

LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH.

Davies steps down.

He's still in charge of the four specials in 2009, but the 2010 series (number five!) will be helmed by Steven Moffat. Since Moffat wrote some of my favorite episodes (The Empty Child and Blink), in terms of the single-shot episodes, this will probably be great. I am currently in a stasis of mixed feelings since he also wrote one of my least favorite episodes (The Girl in the Fireplace).

In which I am tl;dr about Doctor Who )

Also, I realize I am being a bit incoherent. I used to be better at expressing my thoughts. JAPAN HAS CHANGED ME. WOE.

EDIT: I've been hearing about Moffat's sexism as reasons why people don't want him helming the series, and I finally found out what some were referring to. I'm now in a somewhat state of unease. Oh my.

Like I said. We'll see. We have two years from that and if he does fail for me, well, I got four years of New Who off of RTD. I'm good with that.

And now that I think about it. This could all be hideously depressing. HA!
demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Default)
Hohohohoho, I was looking forward to this episode!

spoilers beware, Agatha Christie is here! )

Dude. I can't believe I have to wait two weeks for the next Doctor Who episode. BAH.
demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Default)
Oh, EXCITEMENT! Since this was a two-parter, I decided to save the last twenty or so minutes for watching right after I finished dling the second part, The Poison Sky. Well worth it!

The Sontaran Stratagem - yummy, yum, yum! )

That was a pretty awesome two-parter. So awesome, in fact, that I'm dancing a jig. ON MY HANDS. Lots that I liked, very little I didn't. Am excited about next week's episode, who isn't? Am always going to be waiting for the last three episodes of the season, but that's to be expected.

So!

thinky-winky are tinky with my... uh... oh, never mind. Overall thoughts about this two-parter )

Ugh, done.
demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Default)
I can't get her out of my head. I swear, I've been rewatching the first two seasons somewhat obsessively and I'm just going straight to my favorite scenes with her. And I swear, I'm starting to get maudlin, just a bit, because every time I see her, I just fall a little Seriously, I am so much in love with this gal. I hope she has her own happy ending.

Also. Seriously, Doomsday? Some forget a certain critical scene in favor of the famous goodbye between her and the Doctor.

Do I even need to cut this anymore? )

It's so late. I need to cut off my random ramblings.
demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Default)
Spent all week imagining what this episode would be like.

mmm, tentacles. also, very boring reaction post. )

thoughts on this and some musings of music and such. )

EEEEEK. I can't wait for the next episode, if only because every episode brings us closer to the final three!
demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Doctor Who - heka_granger - bananas are)
It's so late right now, but gotta get those two damn cents in. ZOMBIE. Braaaaaaains.

I've been skimming this thread. Same old, same old. If the fandom has a 'significant' (however you choose to quantify that) female character, there bounds to be the same arguments. And I can hardly be surprised it showed up in a show that's wildly popular (um... in certain circles) and has a cast of changing companions to one main, male protagonist.

One thing that always strikes me...

lots of the same old, same old )

Gosh, I'm so tired, marshmallow teletubbies sound good. What? But basically!

ROSE AND MARTHA AND DONNA ARE AWESOME. AND THEY HAVE GREAT TEETH.
demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Default)
GANKED FROM EVERYONE.

Had to do this one though. I actually reshuffle my interests every so often, so right now, Doctor Who is taking over.

So I was adding some new interests to my LJ profile (because I, uh... have some new interests. Yes.) and found myself feeling defensive every time I typed a female name, thinking, basically, FUCK YOU, SHE'S AWESOME, because I felt as if someone somewhere was going to be criticizing my love for them.

So, anyway, then I made a list of women who make me want to say FUCK YOU, SHE'S AWESOME. They are far from the only women who are awesome, or the only women people need to be told to step off of, but they are the top ten I feel that way about, right now, off the top of my head.

If you want to argue with me about the awesomeness of any of these women, I am afraid I will simply be referring you to the subject line. THAT IS ALL.

Also. This reflects my current shinies. ;) PLEASE UNDERSTAND.

1. Rose Tyler (whodathunk?)
2. Donna Noble
3. Tifa Lockhart
4. Temperance Brennan
5. Haruno Sakura
6. Martha Jones
7. Sohma Akito
8. Relena Darlian
9. Zoe Washburne
10. Toshiko Sato

Now that my heart's had a night of restless sleep and I can see the episode without going into massive flailing of arm and limb...

spoilers, spoilers, I'm just being spoilery )

A one, two, three punch to the gut and it brings up a million and one questions.

Like, AM I GOING TO GO MAD BEFORE THE END OF SERIES 4??
