I would have updated this morning at 4 AM... but.

I was a little disappointed. No, not just a little. A lot.

It was a great movie, great special effects, the pacing was quicker, the jokes funnier, the acting better (among the kids), a glorious Lockhart, more screen-time for Draco, and a brilliant duel between Snape and Lockhart.

There were times I couldn't help but hiss at the screen, wanting to stand up and scream obscenities for some of the taken-for-granted scenes which they did. I have never been so annoyed with anti-Slytherin biases than I am right now.

Movie-talk can wait until later; the fans out there were something. There were some really horrid people (who, unfortunately, I know; we went to the same HS together) who insisted Slytherin was Evil and that there was nothing to be done about it. They made fun of everyone from Draco to Snape to Lucius. When I mentioned I didn't like Sirius all that much, they jumped on me as if I was insane. (Which I am, but that's not the point)

But! I did meet a small group of dedicated Snape-fans! Slytherin fans! Twisted-Hermione fans! It was absolutely wonderful, and I have their emails now. *dreamy* They participate online, RPG's, fics, everything. There's something chilling about seeing someone for real. *grin*

I took a ton of pictures, which I'll put up eventually. Somewhere. Yahoo probably.

And there is two pics of illicit pleasure. There was a girl dressed entirely of Snape. Hair, clothing, high neckline, buttons. Good lord. I went up to her and asked for a hug and she gave me one! I hugged Snape! *bubbly smile* I nearly had an orgasm then and there. *giggles madly*

Lots of older folks; the theatre I went to was more for the adult audience, so I wasn't too surprised, but there were actually fewer kids than I thought there would be. I got onto the news too; I had carried a sign in saying "Slytherin Doesn't Equal Evil" and fanart pics on the other side with Slyth Rules and I love Snape, Draco, Lucius, Salazar, and Tom. *purrs* That incited a few comments too.

The experience was wonderful. But I may have psyched myself for the movie too much. *shrugs* Well, let's wait for Prisoner of Azkaban in 2004, and let's see how Alfonso Cuiron does with that particular movie. We see more of Snape, which is extremely important to me. And we finally meet the elusive Remus Lupin and *pause* Sirius Black. And Peter Pettigrew. I already dread the actor cast for that role.

More on the movie later. Work first. *sighs*
