Oct. 22nd, 2009 10:47 amI am currently obsessed with The Mentalist. I'm really liking the show, though... I suppose I should admit that the stories are sometimes predictable and, well, boring. (Just for me, though.) It's the characters that get me rarin', especially, oh my god, Jane. Seriously, how hot are his wrinkles? I am totally developing a smiles!wrinkle fetish. And yes, I'm going to be a fool and say that I'm totally digging the Lisbon and Jane vibe. Yeah, yeah, yada yada, it's the same old story over and over again, why can't they come up with a new idea of romance, why is it always the will-they-or-won't-they, boobeebah. Knowing all that, conscious of the fact that they're probably going to pull this on for seasons a la Mulder and Scully, but dude.
Me wants Lisbon and Jane.
Also, does not hurt that Lisbon and Van Pelt are awesomely awesome characters and I'm about to die with love for Cho and Rigsby. I'm not so attracted to the case-a-week stories (though the overarching plot of Red John is kickass), but the shine of the show is the team dynamics and characters. Which I think is pretty cool.
(and I have a teensy crush on Van Pelt, seriously. GINGER HAIR!)
CHO. YOUR ONE-LINERS RENDER ME DEAD.
Rigsby is like the world's biggest teddy bear, EVER. He's so adorable and shy and cute and EEE, I hope he and Van Pelt get another kiss!moment. Ha, I'm easy. I just want a little nookie.
Also digging on the TV frontier - Psych. Wow. Psych is pretty much wonderful. I mean, there are times when I'm literally (no seriously, LITERALLY) convulsing with laughter and I can't stop. Shawn and Gus are such cool combo - okay, okay, sometimes I do think Shawn takes advantage of Gus. (Okay, a lot.) And their friendship is just mildly weird (is that an understatement), but I love their teamwork... even if I do think Shawn is more preoccupied with Gus' life than his own. Hmmm.
BUT. For me, my favorite characters?
LASSITER AND JULES. YES. LASSITER AND JULES. I'm so in love with Lassiter. THIS IS WEIRD. And I love O'Hara. Needless to say, while the show is pushing for Shawn/Jules, I think I'm leaning toward Lassiter/O'Hara, Shawn/Gus. Oh, Lassiter. You're cooler than beans.
I think I'm seeing a theme here...
Though. All these shows (I'm thinking of Lie to Me as well) have that male lead - I'm kind of wanting a show with a female lead in the same fashion... mmm, not sure if that makes sense. Anyways. Never mind.
ON A SIDE NOTE.
CLARK. LOIS. YOU BE FOOLING NO ONE.

CLARK. LOIS. YOU BE FOOLING NO ONE.
I won't really miss you, but for about four years, I was in love with your show.
It's the very last night of ER tonight and nostalgia alone would have me watching it, but woe, I shall be on a flight to DC so I won't be able to see most of it. I'll have to watch it later, along with the one hour long reflection. (Which I really did want to see; nothing like sappy memories to get the nostalgia juices flowing!) I haven't watched any of this season, though I keep meaning to. Everything and everyone kept reminding me, though, that it was the very last season of ER. Stop it. I feel enough guilt as it is.
Though seriously, I do kind of miss the old ER. I miss Carter and Lucy and Doug and Mark and Weaver and ABBY (predrama... well, baby drama) and everyone. I do like the rotating new cast members form, oh, season 10 onwards, but sometimes they left so quickly, it wasn't much fun to watch them.
(Though, on an aside, Morris is one of my favorite characters, like ever. He's so wonderfully dorky.)
I'm also glad about Neela. I've been reading spoilers for ER (I know, I know) and I know what happens to her. And I'm glad. It's a good ending and something I actually didn't quite expect. Plus. I love them. So yay, plus.
As soon as this season is finished, I'll probably watch the whole thing at one time and get that ER rush. And I'll get to see all the guest stars (so many!) all at once.
Love you ER, hope you live in good DVD heaven.
(P.S. I lied. I totally will miss you, you scurvy medical whatsits)

Smallville
Nov. 22nd, 2008 08:13 pmI am so in love with this season of Smallville.
This is the sort of season I've been wanting ever since Lois Lane showed up at the end of season 3.
( ”I )
Though.
We have to wait until January for the continuation.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

True Blood
Oct. 3rd, 2008 09:14 amThis is about vampires. This is set in the South. The main character's name is Sookie Stackwood. We have a vampire called Bill.
We also have Anna Paquin, who I have a weird love for.
So far?
( this is a weird story )
In other, real-life news, the VP debate last night was more boring than I thought it'd be. It's probably very petty of me to say this, but I watched with a kind of half-formed thought that maybe Palin would screw up on the podium. After watching the Couric interview, you'd think she owuld have a hard time dealing with an honest debate, but I guess that 'debate boot camp' kind of worked. Palin rambled a lot. I started tuning her out at points because it got so repetitive.
Mind, Biden wasn't much better. He's pretty repetitive too. I guess that's the point.
Palin still makes my noise muscles twitch. She irritates me so much. Having her as our first female VP candidate just... argh. argh. argh.argharghargharheaejahfkehajfhejkl.

House and Bones
Sep. 19th, 2008 04:13 pmHo!
( Season Premiere spoilers )
As for Bones...
( it might be just me... )
Methinks subtext is somewhat more exciting than text. This is obviously a sign I need help.

Heroes, V.1
Jun. 22nd, 2007 04:37 pmI watched chapters 19 - 23 a few weeks ago, and I'm finally adding in my two cents and reactions.
It was glorious.
And I fully take to it now. I am a Peter and Claire fan all the way. Every time they showed up on screen together, my belly did a bit of a flip-flop. Every single time they touched, whether they were running away, comforting each other, or really, anything, I squealed. I literally squealed and my sister kept giving me horrified looks from her attempt to watch a Chinese drama. Good times, good times.
( ever so late reaction to the first season. And Peter. And Claire. )
CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SECOND SEASON.
NEED MORE CLAIRE AND PETER.
Mohhhhhinder.

House 3x16 (15? 17?) WHO CARES?
Mar. 9th, 2007 09:06 amHOUSE!
CAMERON!
( I just had one of those seizures of happiness! )
Oh man. I wish I wrote House!fic. Maybe I could. But I'd be terrible at it.

Oh, hell. I just had moments of Cameron and House ecstasy.
She gets better and better with every season. She's keeping her compassion and weaknesses that defined in before and now... basically, she's taking the good qualities about House and none of the negativities and combining them with her own viewpoints to form a very unique and interesting character.
GOD I LOVE CAMERON.
SO HAH

You know, I love Cameron and I love House and sue me, I like the two of them together. What I don't like is batshit insane H/C shippers who make the rest of us look bad. And you know what? I also hate the fact that the person's a troll and that people are taking s/h/it seriously. And you know what? I feel paranoid, but why do I think it's some batshit insane anti-Cameron fan out to make it seem like H/C shippers are crazy?
My paranoia is getting the better of me.
I like Cameron and FUCK YOU IF YOU THINK LESS OF ME FOR IT. She has her faults, she has her eccentricities that irritate me, but overall? I love her character and find her fascinating. In fact, she might even be better with Wilson and OMG, do you suddenly find me repulsive because I've broken the HOLY PAIRING OF HOUSE/WILSON?
... three episodes into the third season and I'm already deflated. Yay!

Finally caught up on the last two episodes and oh my, they were quite good!
