But a gem I found, oh, a GEM! A REAL FUCKING GEM! Oh, my heart. My heart.

Women at War.
*cries, cries, and cries some more*
Finally, someone recognizes their work, their pain, their suffering, THEIR reality.
The Challenge: I want to see stories about the women of Gundam Wing that are about the work they do; about the war and its aftermath; about the insane chain of events they get caught up in; and about the struggles and difficulties they face that aren't just about personal relationships. It's too often forgotten in fandom that the girls lived through the war too -- and just because they don't angst about it as much as some of the boys (Zechs, Wufei, Heero, I'm looking at you), doesn't mean they weren't affected. I want to see stories that deal with that. I want to see stories about women at war!
I am now officially firmly back in GW. I'm going to write fics for this! All you GW fans out there! Get up! Write! Show that the women of GW are just as strong and real and true as the males! Show ALL the females! Write your choice! Be non-romantic! Just BE!
