Odd comment aside, I do think the worst part about going to China during the summer this year is that I'll be missing my twenty-first birthday. It's not too big of a deal, but I've been looking forward to finally walking into a bar legally with all my friends (who happen to turn twenty-one before me - except J) and having... actually, I haven't thought that far, but it would have been nice to go out and enjoy the 'freedom' the government has finally 'allowed me'.

In news:

This is scary. No, literally, this is scary. I got i from [livejournal.com profile] antiwar, a group that got it from www.amarillo.com.

Letters To The Editor: Another name for war protesters

Opinion

I am a United States sailor. I have chosen to defend my country and the freedom some take for granted.

I love my country, my family, my freedom. Only by the blood which was shed by the service members before me did we receive this freedom.

There are some, though, who do not appreciate this freedom. I call these people traitors; they call themselves protesters. They are nothing more than an infectious disease that infests the minds and hearts of the Americans we are defending. It consumes the honor and courage within its host until it kills the very patriotism that made this country.

There is no cure for this disease. Never will everyone be satisfied. But let it be known what this guardian of America's freedom thinks of these protesters: Traitors should be hanged. I hold our enemies in higher standing. At least they are willing to fight for their beliefs and the country they love.

I don't understand how he can say he's fighting for 'freedom', and yet deny that freedom?

And patriotism did NOT make this country. The people were too pissed off with the fact that the money that was made here was flowing into Britain instead of their own coffers. They were pissed off that they were two thousand miles away and still being 'controlled' by some 'weird monarchy'. Oh bow, ye, to the Land of the GREAT.

Protestors have shed blood too, for exercising their right, their freedom.

Interesting how he says he holds his enemies in higher standing because of their 'beliefs' and 'love for their country'. Is he brain-dead? Protestors are fighting for their beliefs, their love for their country. The US itself isn't evil you f------ nitwit. It's people like you who believe the country should be a authoritarian regime.

It's dawned on me - I'm in the Bank of America (ever heard of them? -_-) Executive Building. The Business building.

This is where our future president might be.

This is where the CEO's come from.

This is where the world is controlled.

Melodramatic, isn't it?

Having tom yum soup for dinner. Yum.
