Apr. 11th, 2006 09:21 amI don't align myself to any particular religion, so for me, the Gospel of Judas is what it is; a fascinating historical document that could possibly change the common perception of what is surrounding the history and mystery of Jesus. And call me blasphemy, but I was really pleased by it. The very idea of it makes me smile, because it's about this person who knew he would be hated, was told he would be hated, that no one would understand him, but he did it anyway and I find that wonderful.
... excuse the moment of absolutely slavering delight. It makes me wish I was back in college so I could find more material about this! I'm not one for religion; mythology and history are more attuned to my loves. But dude, this is interesting. =) Really fricking interesting!
