Doctor Who fans are... Republicans?

This article says that Doctor Who fans are more likely to be Republicans and... no way. Everyone I know (and in the strictly-outside-of-LJ sense) who likes Doctor Who tend to be independent, and leaning more to the moderate and liberal side of politics.

The article is short, so I'm not really believing it, but when I read that, I feel like saying, NO WAY, in a loud, obnoxious voice. Ho.
