Rydia/Kain (how could you not like this pairing?)

Edward/Kain (two beautiful men loving each other? hell yeah)

Terra/Edgar (soft spot for this pairing)
Relm/Setzer (heh heh heh. Also, I adored Relm and her theme music. It was so... innocent?)
Gogo/Setzer (if only because I am one of the insane who believe that Gogo is Darryl)
Gau/Relm (so cute, I'd die from the sugar)
Sabin/Edgar (it's incest at its best)
On a special note, I don't particularly ship Celes with anyone. Mostly because she is terrific on her own and if she'd just realize that she could have anyone she wanted why would she go for smelly old Locke all hung-up over his dead girlfriend? Cause personally, I'd have kicked him in the nuts. Keeping a body fresh like that is and finding ways to resurrect her? Like, ew.

Yuffie/Vincent (like that's a surprise; more on this later)
Yuffie/Sephiroth (the idea appeals; he had a hand in the death of her mother and it would be... interesting, to say the least. I've been entertaining a fic idea where Yuffie was, if briefly, engaged as a childbride to Sephiroth on one of the conditions Shinra sets out for Wutai. Unlikely, I know, but still... entertaining.)
Yuffie/Tifa (because I like my strong females and it feels... right?)
Zack/Sephiroth (I always tear up, just a little, when I think of this pairing)
Zack/Aeris (it could have been a beautiful, strong, loving relationship)
Zack/Tifa (ditto)
Tifa/Cloud (yep. If I was forced to choose between A/C and T/C, I'd choose T/C. Mostly because I adore Tifa and wish her only good things in life. Aeris too, but in a way, my love for Tifa stretched beyond wanting her with Cloud. She's strong. Not in the way that she can beat the shit out of anyone, but in the way Yuffie's strong. Their grief and sorrow is a part of their loves but it doesn't rule their life. Which is something that I will always seriously respect)

Marlene/Vincent (I dare you to say you didn't think it when she ducked under his cloak)

Eiko/Vivi (sucked into this BY AN UNNAMED PERSON WHO LIKES SPIDERS AND FLOWERS!)

Rikku/Auron (the similarities between this pairing and Yuffie/Vincent was a little startling. But I got sucked in by the idea, I loved the dynamics, and hello? They had way more interaction than was necessary for two characters who really had nothing in common from what appeared in the game. OMGCANON. That said... Rikku's character is so beautifully exuberant that people tend to forget that she has such a terrible past and present, that she's a member of this proud race who everyone despises... it was a character made for my love. =) As for Auron... how could you not like him? He came back from the dead to fulfill his promises and he waited ten long years to do it. He thought he failed to change the world, but I think he did it better than anyone.)
Tidus/Yuna (OMG, I couldn't not love this pairing. The ending where she runs at him and through him? My heart, my heart)
Rikku/Rin (guilty pleasure!)
Lulu/Wakka (they had so many hangups it was natural they loved each other. The part on Mushroom Rock where Lulu and Wakka and Luzzu face off? I always sniffle when Luzzu talks about Chappu wanting to keep Sin away from 'his girl'. ;_;)
Rikku/Gippal (this deserves a special explanation. I'm not so much a fan of the pairing itself, but for the possibilities. While yes, they're very cute together, the fact that Gippal and Auron had a fucking awesome scene about assholes in the sequel will always make me imagine what it would be like for the two)
Rikku/anyone, really (*g*)
Special note: I have a soft, tender spot for Seymour. SE devoted a considerable amount of time into emphasizing that Seymour was someone to be sympathized, or at the very least, pitied. His half-human, half-Guado heritage made him a victim from the moment he was born and the fact that he did all he did half out of some form of muted grief and revenge made me sigh a little. The moment when his mother appeared before us? Oh, stop my breaking heart. When we see the ghostly memories of him and his mom at the Dome? GRIEF. Seymour was very much like Sephiroth for me.
Tragic pasts will undo me in a nanosecond.
Yuffie and Vincent deserve their own special little post. =)
