demeter918: blue doraemon cat (Default)
[personal profile] demeter918
Sentences:

"She is Sakura, the girl who/that/whom I met yesterday."

"Luffy was the one who/that saved the world/."

Okay, I had thought both sentences would use 'who' instead of 'that', but my fellow teacher thinks that in the first sentence, 'that' or 'whom' was more appropriate. We are now both thoroughly confused and would like clarification by one of my more grammar-inclined friends.

... please? ^^;

And is there a good website that I can read over to brush up on grammar. Heck, is there a site that will teach me really indepth grammar? I think it's time to recharge the elementary and junior high engines.
