What says you? What does these two have in common? Well, nothing really. As of the moment. But I'm fangirling both at the same time. What? Didn't LoTR come out years and years ago? Well. Yeah. But I rewatched all three movies, one each evening, extended editions and I've found that my love for Eomer has reached epic - I say, epic - proportions. My love for the Mark and the Rohirrim and for Eowyn and Theoden and seriously, what happened? I'm fond of the books (but nowhere near the absolute love most other fans hold) and I liked the movies, but it had always been Eowyn for me. Why this sudden Eomer and Rohirrim love?

So much love, in fact, that I've actually started reading LoTR fanfic, something I thought I'd never do.

Ooh, and I do adore Eomer and Lothiriel fic! Since there's only one line of Lothiriel mentioned in the books, this gives fic writers a huge amount of space to work with. All they have to work around is that the two got married in the last year of the Third Age and that she's a princess of Dol Amroth and the daugher of Imharil. That's it. So, yep, there's quite a bit of creative freedom which means some truly wonderful stories and some truly shitty ones are produced. Though it kind of leans toward wonderful. Kind of.

Either way... EOMER! LOVE! Karl Urban! LOVE! Seriously; I watched both Doom and Ghost Ship and didn't realize that it was him playing in both. I feel like rewatching Doom now, just so I can watch the hotness that is Karl Urban.

... this is disturbing. I haven't felt this in love with an actor in a long ass time.

As for Heroes. Hm... I've been meaning to make a post about the series since December, but didn't really get a chance to. I'm not getting the same investment feeling I get from some other series, but I really love how they're bringing out the cliffhanger answers quickly. I mean, they could have completely dragged out Claire's parental issues to the end of the season. They could have stretched out Isaac's drug issues, Mohinder's conflicts, Audrey and Matt's partnership, but nope. They're skipping happily along with the show and I love that. It gives me something to look forward to; it gives me something to think about.

I ship Peter and Claire, by the way. ;) Though I gotta say... the Peter and Nathan angle is surprisingly intriguing. And yes, I have seen the latest episode which means I know what happened at the end and no, I'm not in throes of despair.

Fuck. I still need to write about Cambodia and Vietnam!
