I have now seen The Matrix: Reloaded.
It was surprisingly, disappointing. The first one was more focused on the plot, rather than the action sequences (though, they were to die for). In this one, there was almost entire stretches of the movie where one awesome manuever was performed after another. The freeway scene (where I've heard plenty of things, both good and bad) was worth the price of the ticket, because I have never seen anything quite that extraordinary.
The movie bulged with egoism, which isn't that surprising, considering the subject and how anticipated this movie was in the first place. I couldn't quite follow the storyline either, so I feel a little foolish.
However, it was enjoyable purely on the aesthetic point of view. Incredibly pretty and egad, those coats! Shades! Leather outfits! Whew. A LOT of eye-candy to take in within two hours.
A friend ruined it for me earlier, by saying Trinity died. And she did. Yeah. But then Neo brought her back. Which, to me, was a little too much like playing God. So I didn't like that too much. *shrugs*
All in all, I can't say much. It was a fun movie to watch, but not something I'd say was incredible. X-2 was better. Interestingly enough.
