I shall say nothing of the Oscars, since I still wish "Lost in Translation" won best picture. Must epics and expensive sets always win? Yes, RotK was very, very, very good, but LiT was shot for a low, low, low budget, shot in a short amount of time, AND had very few relative plugs compared to the rest of the Best Picture contenders.
Blargh.
My tiff is over.
Did any of you apply for the Compact Disc Minimum Advertised Price Antitrust Litigation lawsuit that was a part of 43 states, and basically was a bunch of lawyers getting money back to twenty or so million people? It was last year, I think, because I was in the dorms still when I applied (as a hurt victim of the money scam by the big record companies) and I just got the check this weekend. XD For THIRTEEN DOLLARS AND EIGHTY-SIX CENTS! It's not enough to even buy a new CD, but hey! I got money back!
Music Settlement has all the details, and it says in the letter that I got full payment of my portion of the settlement. It's actually kind of interesting, especially since I had done this on a whim, and had forgotten about it until today. I suppose patience really does pay off. ^_^
The engagement party went off very well, for those interested. I got some pretty pictures, but since they really don't have anything to do with me (except one lovely photo of me in my dress, cardigan, and fucking painful shoes). I love that dress. Maybe I'll post it up. ^_^
It's a good, beautiful day.
