You know... it's rather easy to villainize the Slytherins in fanfiction. I'd never really noticed that before since I read most Slytherin-centric fic in the first place. But then it's rather easy to villainize certain Slytherins anyways.
Hm. And Gryffindors too. But only certain ones.
They're all convenient plot devices. From Ron to Draco to Sirius. And Pansy. And Ginny. And Cho. Um... and I could on and on, but I won't. It's actually kind of fun. We should have a Convenient Plot Device Fanfic Contest of sorts. Have a list of characters and situations that are obviously CPD's and then go from there. ^_^ A rather silly contest, yes, but it sounds fun.
