Pairings: Kakashi/Sakura
Notes and Warnings: Teacher/student relationship. I happen to love this pairing though I'm not particularly good at writing it. Inspired by a bottle of water.
Summary: It happened like a dream.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Hatake Kakashi didn’t quite understand how their relationship started, but he wasn't one to go and wonder about such thing so he had let her cross line after line, until he couldn't bear the idea of her leaving, of stepping away, of dying like so many before him and those after. He liked tucking her into bed as the stars glittered with a brutal sneer. Obito sometimes whispered words into his ear, but he ruthlessly pushed them away as he killed the man over and over.
She often asked whether he was really alright with everything, and he would grin his close-eyed grin that made her smile – calmly – back. He would place his head on her firm abdomen and dream of better days and nights. When blood wasn't an issue and the precise tattoo on her left bicep wasn't a ragged reminder of murder and death. She'd comb her fingers through his silver hair and say nothing as he tried to keep his breathing alive.
It was sin. It was heaven. It was something he didn't quite believe he deserved.
But she was here. She was there when no one else had been, when bitter seeds were spilt across the ground and he had permanently lost his right eye and something much, much more.
So he couldn't do the right thing and let her go. He couldn't order her out of his bed, out of his life, out of his heart when everyone whispered and looked askance at her, even though she constantly reassured him that she didn't care a whit whether anyone thought this was right. Even when Naruto had tried to tell her that Kakashi was a perverted jounin who read Icha Icha Paradise in his spare time, she'd done nothing but ruffle his hair and smile that beautiful smile which made Naruto squirm all around Konoha in pleasure.
And what was the right thing anyways? Tsunade had looked down her nose at him and said that as long as it didn't interfere with his work, she saw no harm in it. So what if Sakura’s mother still couldn't look at him in the eye or Sakura’s father's cheek twitched when the two visited once or twice a month. So what if Ino came in to furtively check on Sakura, to make sure he wasn't doing something he shouldn't have been doing, though honestly, he'd already done it a thousand times already.
But it didn't matter.
Not as long as he had that pink hair draped over his shoulder on lazy mornings, when he had his scar-streaked arms wrapped tightly around her slim waist. As long as she was willing to direct those green eyes of hers at him and only him, he was content. As long as her mouth stretched open in a scream when he pushed her to one orgasmic climax after another, as long as her sweat-streaked skin rubbed and slipped against his as he sobbed his own release into her throat, as long as she nestled in his arms and just smiled at him when he tried to see if she was hurt by his blind worship.
Her smile was like the end of time. Was the long scar over his left eye. The blood splattered from a well-placed kunai.
Kakashi didn't care that he bled.

The Kakashi/Sakura fic I promised eons ago. It's finally up and I'm actually posting two fics. In one day. *GASP* I'm actually productive!
And I'm actually supposed to be working on my homework right now. Reading and study questions and tigers, oh my. Constructive crit would be lovely!

Date: 2004-10-12 04:16 pm (UTC)- A Golden Gray Mourning by Istoria (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1790730/1/) I'm really keen on Sakura-centric fics, and this is one of those that just makes you go gah and uh and argh. ^_^
Ornament by Goddess Kes (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1623031/1/) You might have read this one, but the odd chapters are Sakura/Kakashi, the even ones, Sasuke/Naruto. Absolutely beautiful fic.
>_< I'm planning on writing more, if only because I adore Sakura and darn it, she looks so pretty next to Kakashi.

Date: 2004-10-29 10:10 pm (UTC)I love Kakashi/Sakura fics, because despite her little bouts of childishness, Sakura has a tendancy to be very mature, and Kakashi has a sort of hidden depth about him. You can look on the surface of him and see only your own reflection (that is his talent after all) giving him the illusion of shallowness... but in actuality, if you think about it, a man who can get so deeply inside your head that he can anticipate what you are going to do next has to be a thinker, you know?
Anyway, good stuff. I just wish there was more out there like this. I'm feeling that itchy feeling I always get when I feel there's a fic that might need to be written by me... and I have FAR too much on my plate right now... sigh.
