I just realized something... or not just... ah, forget that.
So you're a fic-writer. You hate the FF.net decision to ban NC17 fics, but grudgingly realize it's most likely not coming back. You keep up your old fics there but no longer put your new ones up in a spirit of camaderie for those who actually lost their stories because it destroyed every bit. Restrictedsection.org appears, a haven for all those smutty, adult!HP fics out there. *slides to ground in joy* But what if you don't write as much adult fic, and more gen? What if you're not entirely comfortable with FictionAlley? What do you DO?
It occured to while I was working on a fic; except my LJ and website, my fics go nowhere else. And it wasn't purposely like that. It just turned out that way.
Argh.
And I'm no good on mailing lists; I tend to forget to do anything there and poof! I come in, I mingle, I forget one day... a second day... and fifth day... and soon, no one's seen me for a year, even though technically I'm still active in the fandom. Gundam Wing is a very good example of this. -_-
I would almost say that was a shadow of my fear of committment, but that's silly. Um. Right?
Yah.
I've been meaning for a while, but I've finally decided to submit my Snape/Mandrake fic to the Restricted Section. Though I first have to find the disk that has that particular file on it. Oh, if my stupid laptop hadn't broke down on me...
