I've developed a taste for courtesan fics, especially if you place characters from anime/manga/other series and place them into the Japanese/European brothels. High-class ones, of course. Why? I don't know. The topic makes me go =0. And I want to read about the sex and the love and the angst, oh the angst! Yes, the angst is what I love about it. XD

There's got to be a genre concentrating on it out there...

I sent in my absentee ballot two weeks ago and am now slightly giddy at all the pro-Kerry people on campus. I have a sticker plastered to my chest, arm, and backpack for Kerry and have already gotten fifteen different people to laugh and comment on my "Republicans for Voldemort" message. Poor Voldie. I love you, but gad, you're an iconic person to use for things like this.

Washington is so going Kerry. =) Am happy.

Livejournal has so obviously been attacked by the NaNoWriMo bug. I'm seeing people enthusiastically count their words on flist and all those little pics of the meter measuring your progress. It seems like everyone is doing better than me though. =( I only have 298 words written, and with people talking about five thousand words plus, I feel a teeny bit guilty. I suppose once I finish my paper this weekend, I'll try to bring the count up to ten thousand. And no, I will probably never post the whole thing, though I'll filter clips out.

Along with the courtesan urge, I've been digging out the fic recs through my flist. Maybe because it looks like writing is definitely going to play a prominent role in my future or that my life has taken a little twist I didn't expect, I've been wanting to read more fics lately. Everything from Snape/Lupin to this fantastic Pansy/Millicent fic by fidelis_haven that lilith_morgana recced has been going through my computer. Am looking for other fics to read. Mostly in the Fruits Basket, Kyou Kara Maou, Bleach, Monster, Samurai Champloo, Saiyuki, Cowboy Bebop, Naruto, and Harry Potter fandoms. If I rabidly drool over your recs, please don't hurt me. =)

Sakura-love is coming back for Naruto fans. Being gone for so long, there's a tendency to forget her existence, but exist she does and yes!

She's dedicated to her new place and in Tsunade's words she's incredible at what she's doing. And it also turns out that Naruto...

I've been eating cream puffs, truffles, and pepperoni sticks. It looks like Bush is bad for my diet. -_-

My head hurts. I started literally smashing knocking it against wood for good luck.

Oh, kill help me.

(By the way - that icon is particularly good right now. Cause the end is all I can see too. I will survive. And hopefully, help change the world in some way in the future)
