I GOT ACCEPTED INTO THE JET PROGRAM.

What is that?

I will now, for at least a year, be in Japan starting in late July. I will be there teaching English and trying very madly to survive life as an adult on my own, in a new country, with little assistance from the parental units. This is all suddenly very scary but I actually started crying just a little, because I am just so relieved. I was really worried, because I had no idea what I'd do if I didn't get the job, but I did, and oh, for all of you who gave me encouraging words and help during this stressful three month period as I bit my nails, pulled my hair, and generally went madcrazy in dread about whether I'd gotten it or not. I wish I could thank everyone individually, and I promise, I will somehow. I want to drop a note though, first, by thanking ashkitty for helping me find someone who'd gone through the interview process. That was probably the clincher, since I was so nervous about the interview. There are a lot of individuals I want to thank too, but I'm going to wait for a proper moment where I can give each of them a name.

In an unrelated note; I'm getting a scanner. Just a scanner. It's on order, so yaoi_daily will be getting scans very soon. Amazingly, this was before all this ENTHUSIASM!
