demeter918: blue doraemon cat (random - tigerzahn - it's gotta be love)

For all you girls out there...

My period is seriously late. In a couple weeks, it'll be two months late. From experience, I know that the later it comes, the worse it feels when it's actually there. Is there any way to speed it up? It sounds stupid, but I'm a little worried. I know it's partly due to the sudden diet change, the weather change, and the fact that I'm biking everywhere instead of my usual dance-and-turn-the-key-in-my-car, but I'm rarely late, and this irregularity is messing up my schedule. ;_;

Love for the people (such as [livejournal.com profile] cedarlibrarian and ChuanChuan) who are recording shows for me. =)

Anybody know how I can dl (hence the locked post) other TV shows? Say, Smallville?

I need fic recommendations. (cause I'm being paid right now to sit on my arse and read fic) Sometimes it takes a really good fic to get my creative thought processes going and boy, do I need them. For one thing, I still owe a few memefics... from a long time ago. ;_;

Vincent and Yuffie
I feel like I've scoured the fandom over and and above, but there's always the chance I've missed a couple. Not so for Auron/Rikku, where I know I've read almost every fic with them. ;_;

HP
Anything post-HBP worth reccing to me? For that matter, anything worth before? One thing about the HP fandom is that I will almost never run out of good things to read. =)

Anything with Snape, Pansy, Draco, Fleur, McGonagall... oh, heck with that. Anything with anyone, as long as it's mostly gen will be good. I'm not looking for specific pairings, but slash is preferable to het in this fandom. Mostly because there are so few het couples that work for me in HP. And that work enough that I would want to read about them... hm, maybe Fleur/Bill would be the exception. While I think Hermione/Ron will eventually happen, they don't make me all twitchy with excitement at reading them. =P

And, OMG, anything with Percy or Snape.

You can probably find tv shows on Kazaa, if you have access to that. It's pretty impossible to download Kazaa these days, but I have the Kazaa Light that you don't have to pay for (miraculously) and could possibly send it to you. Unfortunately, though, Kazaa files are going way down. TV shows should be okay, but I use it for music, and I've downloaded the same song about twenty times trying to get a file that's not incorrect or corrupted.

And *hugs* from somebody whose period is always late ~_~. Nn, I was eleven and they wanted to do a pregnancy test on me because my period was so late =p.

Actually, it's one month late. I don't know why I wrote two months. Argh, have to correct that. If it was two months late, I'd probably freak.

Yeah, I used to use Kazaa in college, but the number of corrupted files annoyed me and the fact that people were watching it so closely worried me too. Hm... cause I never dled English shows, I'd never bothered to use the p2p to see anything but music. *checks Bearshare*

And would you look at that. *lol* I can get torrents for the various seasons off of it. Still looking for a site to do torrents though. I know people talk about them.

I am not sure, but iron is supposed to be good for period cramps, and overly late periods are sometimes due to a lack of iron in your diet..

Iron... hm... everyone has mentioned that, along with calcium. I think I'll try to see what I can eat here that's rich in iron and calcium. Thank you!

load up on calcium now. three servings a day, at least. calcium does wonders for a woman's body, and will make the cramps less severe.

when the cramps come, heat, heat, heat. they have these nifty patches you can use... keep an eye out for them there. the ones i'm talking about react to the air, so they stay hot for ~12 hours, and they stick to your undies. ^_~

XD Thank you sweetie! I had forgotten about the patches; I think they have patches for everything here. I saw people with patches on their foreheads, and my teacher told me that it was a cooling patch and I tried one; it really works. =)

I have yogurt for breakfast... and that's it. I think I'll try to start drinking milk and/or taking calcium supplements.

*snuggles* ^_^ patches rock. ^_~

calcium = good. oh, and avoid salt. >_> a bit harder in that culture, i know, but salt makes cramps worse. =p

periods always seem to be late when you travel overseas. It should take about 1 month (so, roughly 4 -6 weeks) to get back on track. Try eating a lot of calcium and iron rich foods.

What sort of foods do you think? I'm having trouble identifying them. -_-

*shrugs helplessly* I can't even recommend anything for the lateness, except to second [livejournal.com profile] clarice and say, try eating foods rich in iron. (That'll help with the whammo exhaustion that usually hits with a period....)

It would worry me severely to be more than three days late - my periods are always, always, three and a half weeks apart. All that start-up irregularity the life lessons people went on about? Psshaw.

Mine are usually pretty regular; enough so that I can plan my vacations around it. But this has whacked me out of schedule in a serious way.

Iron and calcium; gotcha. *hug*

OMG, yes. I could rec so much Vincent/Yuffie.

Let's see...

There's more, omg, there's so much more, but this will easily last you for a while. Most of them are long chaptered fics, and all of them are worth reading more than once. *sparkle* And most of the above authors have written other Yuffie/Vincent fics (or just other fics) that are ABSOLUTELY LOVELY.

Oh, and sorry. ^^ If there's any slash pairing I can easily do without, it's Harry/Snape. Lupin/Snape, Snape/Draco, Snape/basically anyone else are my choices. And of course, Percy-gen. Lovely, lovely Percy.

Harry/Snape may be the only HP pairing I actually loathe. And it's odd, because I used to be really into it. It used to be a rarepairing, you know. *sigh*

Love my Percy. XD
