Me.
After a satisfying dinner of Indian and then a Japanese lesson, I am now ensconced at home watching the DVD. Currently, it's the "Reminiscence of FFVII" - it's going through most of the important scenes in the game. It's all in Japanese but I've played the game so many times, it's pretty clear it's compiling, largely, the things that have to do with Cloud, Tifa, Aeris, Sephiroth, and such. Vincent, Yuffie, Barret and the others appear briefly, but it pretty much looks like Cloud and Sephiroth's story.
Next is the "Compilation of FFVII" which introduces the games Before Crisis and Dirge of Cerebus. It also brings trailers for Advent Children and Crisis Core which already looks kind of like a fandream. Zack, oh, my lovely Zack.
*whistles*
The trailer for Dirge is pretty. That's all I can say. And then some. The part where Vincent and Yuffie are talking? OMG PURE SEX. SQUARE IS ALL SECRETLY YUFFIE/VINCENT FANS YOU KNOW THEY ARE.
Before Crisis is teh sex. It's so beautiful and oh, wow. Turks. Turks and their loyalty to Shinra and their abilities that get them into the Company and oh, wow. It's Reno and Rude and Tseng and Elena and they're alive and it's the six years leading up to the events of FFVII. It's amazing, because you know during the last five years, Sephiroth happens, Cloud and Zack are stuck in their test tube, Tifa's learning her fighting art, Aeris is running away from Shinra and running toward her end. Yuffie's trying to realize her dream and save Wutai, Vincent's still dreaming away beneath the Shinra mansion, Barret is raging over the destruction of Corel and Dyne and trying to raise Marlene and Red hates his father. Cait Sith is only an idea and Reeve is no where brave enough yet to stand up to Shinra. Elena's aspiring to be a full Turk, Tseng's still alive and oh... I just about cried.
And Crisis Core? It's horrible because you know, that inevitably, Zack is going to die. He's going to die even as he works so hard to save Cloud and save Tifa and yes! Save Sephiroth.
Oh man. I haven't even started the movie and the DVD's already getting to me.
