Calling for Grammar Fiends!

My JTE has just asked me a question that I'm not sure of how to answer.

rise - rose - risen
partake - partook - partaken
rebind - rebound - rebound
run - ran - run
sink - sank - sunk

I know when to use each, but that's not the problem. She's looking for the specific, all-encompassing word for it and I don't quite know!

The list was basically random ones I pulled out of the Japanese-English dictionary, and they're past participles AND irregular verbs. Stroke of odd luck, eh? XD Thank you! My JTE had a moment of OHHHHH when she read it!

Ooh, ooh, me! Ask me! I did an exam on this two weeks ago!

Hee hee, both the others were right - they're irregular verbs, and the final word of each strand is the past participle - remember that past participles need auxiliary verbs (like 'had' and 'be') to go in front of them, because "I begun my training" is incorrect. ^^

I think it's present - past - past participle. (Is that what you were looking for? Maybe I didn't quite understand the question :-S)

Yes! I turns out it is a past participle. I was actually looking for the word of the last vocabulary words in the chains, because I knew the first was present, the second was past, but I couldn't remember what the right name for the third one was!
