Nintendo DS and Gameboy Advance

I haven't owned a handheld console since the Gameboy Color. And suddenly, I have been filled with the urge to own the DS. The coral pink one no less. (pink? AND WHAT IS WRONG WITH PINK???) But I'm looking at all the lovely games on the GBA and I've read that there's an extra slot on the DS that will allows GBA and DS compatability? Which means I can play GBA games on the DS lite, right?

Does anyone on my flist do handhelds, especially the newer ones?

... and I suddenly miss the Sega GameGear. ;_;

I heart my DS, even though I don't play it enough.

It is also region-free, so if you want some funktastic Japanese game, or can only find a European version of a game, have fun!

I think the DS is increadibly awesome! You can get some awesome games on it! Since you are planning on getting one I'd suggest getting these games: (They're just so cool!)
*Cooking Mama
*Animal Crossing
(if you're into horror) Resident Evil
and coming out at the end of the month is a neat looking SIMS game called Sims2 Pets... :D That one looks hella awesome if you love animals.

COOKING MAMA SOUNDS AWESOME. It's actually in my shopping cart along with the DS. I'm probably going to get the Harvest Moon game first along with any Zelda games and Final Fantasy, but it sounds so FUN!

ANIMAL CROSSING; I heard it's addictive as hell. AND EEE KINGDOM HEARTS!

Cooking Mama is indeed VERy awesome, extremely addictive :D I didn't hear good things about the DS Harvest Moon game sadly...but if you get it you should let me know what you think :3
Also, yes, Animal Crossing is rather addictive as well. It's a very cute game.

DS RULES. I don't have a lite, but my brother does and its gorgeous. The screen is so bright and nice and the battery life rules. My favorite DS games are Animal Crossing, Nintendogs, Harvest Moon DS, Trauma Center: Under the Knife, etc :3

THeres a really cool Japanese music game too, my friend has it, I dunno the name of it tho :/ And theres a Japanese game I have (in English) called Feel The Magic. It rocks. I need to get the sequel, Rub Rabbits :3

Trauma Center sounds so cool; I mean, operating on someone and then them dying if I don't do it right? =P Maybe I'll fulfill that unfulfilled dream of seeing blood squirt.
