I LOVE MARTHA. OMG, I LOVE MARTHA. She's so freaking human and kickass in this series!

Figures I'd end up liking the Companions more than the Doctor.

Though... I gotta admit. In Series 3, I've grown a lot fonder of the 10th Doctor. Surprisingly fond.

I've been loving your progression through DW - I had much the same reactions to you and Nine is actually my favourite Doctor as well. There's a saying in the fandom that your first Doctor will always be your Doctor, and it's held true for me - while I love David Tennant and really enjoy watching his treatment of the character, Christopher Eccleston was wonderfully, heartbreakingly perfect and I only wish he could have stuck around longer. ;_;

I'm not a huge fan of Martha myself; I found that I never connected with her character like I connected with Rose, but I'm looking forward to season four. I'm not sure if you're ready for fics yet but I've got fistfuls of good stuff in my memories, so check them out if you're looking for a great read.

Keep loving DW and I'm so glad you're enjoying it. ♥

OMG, YES. I love David Tennant's 10th Doctor; it's almost impossible not to like him, but I miss the 9th Doctor so, so much. He was really perfect for that reinvention of the Doctor and I wish Christopher Eccleston could have stuck around just one more season before they morphed the 9th into the 10th. I've been watching previous Doctor (4th and 7th) episodes, and yeah. I do think the 9th Doctor will always be the Doctor I love most.

Ooh, thanks! I've been reading fics as I've been watching the series, and I've read a ton, ton, ton, almost all Doctor/Rose. I favor the 9th/Rose fics, but I've discovered a real big love for alt!9/Rose, post-Doomsday fics. I know that contradicts canon in some circles, but I'm not the sort to particularly care. ;)

Rose is going to always be my favourite companion regardless of how much Like Martha or Donna. She's just... so... I don't know, WONDERFUL. I just, GAH, love her. I love her more than the Doctors (GASP) and I really, really wish there could have been a TV series based on her character. I'd have watched it in a heartbeat. ;p

Still got the rest of season 3 to watch! And, I cannot wait for season 4 since Martha, Donna, Jack, AND ROSE show up! XD I keep imagining how it could happen and what the reunion between Rose and the Doctor is going to be like... ooh. *HUGS*

Did you also notice that Martha's actress also played a worker at Torchwood at the end of series two, who got killed by the Cybermen right at the start? I saw that episode again recently (it was so LONG between series 2 and 3 here) and just...what the hell, that's really very strange. XD

I end up loving the Companions more, too. =) Though Jackie Tyler will always be my favourite 'family of Companion.' She was brilliant. <3

Did you see the angels? Were they not the goddamn freakiest things ever?? (I watched that episode at night with all the lights off and on a big TV and yeeesh, I spent so long checking over my shoulder afterwards.)

I noticed that! I was like, WTF? But it was really nice to know that the actress came on for, what, a minor part and got turned into a Companion. NICE.

The episode with the Angels is the "Blink" episode, right? I haven't watched it, but I saw the preview for it. GULP. I'm saving it for a good evening episode. I love stuff that freaks me out. XD

Secretly, I think one of my favorite moments ever in Doctor Who is when Jackie Tyler says to the 9th Doctor, "Stitch this!" and then gives him the best slap of his 900 years. LOVE IT.

I keep joking to Mum (who grew up in England and loves English TV) that they only have about six actors over there who have to keep getting reused. XD Gwen's actress from the series Torchwood also makes an appearance in season 3.

Blink, that's right. ^_^ It really is a brilliantly done episode, through and through. Look forward to it!

She just has so many good moments with him. XD I also love in the second-last episode of the second series when the Doctor is pretending that she's Rose. (Though that two-parter had so many good moments/lines.
"You are superior in only one respect."
"And what is that?"
"You are better at dying."
SNAP to the Daleks. XD )

I think third season is my favorite of new Who. I didn't really care one way or another about ninth Doctor, and while I thought new Who was shiny, I was very ambivalent compared to classic Who (which I watched at my mother's knee growing up. She also took me to the re-release of all the Star Wars movies in theatres and had us marathon them. My mother is very awesome). I actually like tenth Doctor a bit better, but I didn't love him until season three. I love, love, loved Martha, too.
