Doing Yuletide recs this year and have decided to be slow and methodical about it. Huh. Strange feeling.

*Stars denote a more specific rec.

A Little Princess (1995) - Between Now and Forever. A missing scene about what happened to Sara and Becky (among others) after Sara found her Papa. (Sara, Becky, Ralph, missing scene)

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn - A Tree in Ann Arbor. Francie experiences Ann Arbor, the end of the war, and comes to a life-changing decision. (Francie, gen)

Alice in Wonderland (2009) - Snow, Melting. Alice isn't sure that she did the right thing by taking Susan Pevensie to Underland. (Alice, Susan, AU, crossover)

Anne of Green Gables - Proverbs 31:29. "Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all." (Marilla Cuthbert, John Blythe, Rachel Lynde, missing scene)

Archie - Friends Don't Let Friends Suffer Alone. The problem with friends is that they plot against you. (Betty/Veronica, various)

Beauty and the Beast (1991) - Shades of Bittersweet. What if Belle married Gaston? A series of vignettes set ten years after Gaston's ultimatum. (Belle, Beast, Gaston, what-if?)

*Babysitter's Club - Elizabeth's Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad Dates. Kristy's mom hasn't had the greatest luck when it comes to dates. (Elizabeth Thomas, history) - One of my favorites of Yuletide 2010, I think. Pretty much the perfect Babysitter's (I can't believe I just said that) fic.

*Babysitter's Club - Babysitter's Club The Next Generation#6: Bryon and the God of California. (Bryon Pike/Jeff Schafer, plot-tastic) - I can't believe two of my top fics this Yuletide are BOTH Babysitter's Club, but duuuuude, this one is so good and plotty and long and I can really see it going like that. Not to mention the secondary plot of the takeover and... I LOVE IT.

Bourne Trilogy - Dissuasion. Kirill isn't fond of Amsterdam. (Nicky, Kirill)

Bourne Trilogy - these fragments I have shored against my ruin. She has always been a puzzle, a jagged piece that would not be smoothed out to fit in together with the rest of his known universe.> (Nicky/Jason, post-series)

*Bourne Trilogy - Galatea, Shaped By His Hand. The intersection of Jason Bourne's paths with Nicky Parsons and Pamela Landy. Some things change. Some things don't. (Nicky/David, Pamela Landy) - I like the exploration between Pamela, Nicky, and Jason. There's something tantalizing there, and the webs that tie the three of them together are opaque and strong in here, without forcing it.

Burn Notice - She Ain't the Gentle Kind. Michael was a kid when he met Fiona. She was explosive. (Michael Westen/Fiona Glenanne)

*Burn Notice - Cheap Shots, Hot Guns, and a Serious Lack of Mojitos. Or, how Sam Axe spent December of 1998, stuck in Libya with no booze, a hell of a bodyguarding mission, and half a dozen members of the IRA. (Sam, Fiona, backstory)- this is backstory for Fiona and Sam, for a little off-hand story said in an early episode. WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LOVE?

*Calvin and Hobbes - The Roommate of +10 Confusion. There must be some scientifically sound way for Jason Fox to be able to quantify his new college roommate, but he hasn't found one yet that fits. Especially when he factors in the stuffed tiger.> (Crossover, Calvin, Hobbes, and Jason Fox) - This is amazing.

*Calvin and Hobbes - This Kid I Once Knew. Daniel sends their whole improv group an e-mail saying "check this out its fun1!1" and a link to a web comic called The Adventures of Spaceman Spiff. (Susie, Calvin, future) - Really, really lovely. It always seems to me that an awesome Calvin&Hobbes fic shows up each year and this year we've got two. =)

Despicable Me - Sweet Villainy. Now that he has the girls to think of, Gru considers quitting his job as a villain. Fortunately Margo, Edith and Agnes are there to help convince him otherwise. (Gru, Margo, Agnes, Edith, gen)

Earthsea - Ursula K. Le Guin - The Ghost of Orrimy. Once, in the days when there was still an Archmage on Roke, the men of Orrimy sought his help to lay a ghost. (Gen, side-story)

I'm really enjoying the fics I've read so far, though I feel like I'm missing something...
