I also dislike them, and the way JKR obviously loves them ("Oh but their pranks don't MEAN to cause harm! And if they do, it's only to bad guys like Quirrell, Filch and Umbridge!" etc. etc.) but more than even that do I hate the way Molly Weasley softens towards them once she sees that they're earning the moolah. Dammit, what they do is STILL wrong even if it's making them rich, Molly! Do you have to be so blatantly mercenary?
I can understand Molly's softening since it does make life for the family easier and after so much worry over their future, I guess she thinks it's for the best? But I really hate how she praised Percy to the skies and everything he did was almost calculated to do right by her eyes... it makes me feel soft and sad for Percy even if he is an arse and git.
Their pranks have bothered me since book4, but it was Montague in book5 that really made the shit hit the fan for me because I was frankly appalled that they didn't seem to feel any remorse over his condition.
