Insanely busy but actually really good. Not much fandom-related shenanigans, though. Which is MUCH SADNESS AND FAIL. There's just not enough time in a single day!

I'm around! I'm alive! I'm not really sure where this is... haha. I just noticed that a lot of the people I would look up from time to time were crossposting to this community of journals - I think I must have missed something major going down in my long off-lj inbetween times?

How have you been?

There were some stupid decisions about fandom, privacy, and ads and probably other things I'm forgetting that drove a lot of people away from livejournal. Dreamwidth was set up by fans for fans, probably after the rash of deleted journals and communities on LJ that were wrongly being associated with pedophilia.

Ohhh, that thing. I remember that now... okay, I actually don't really care much for either side. Totally fandom-politically incorrect, y/n? ;)

And I've been, well, busy. Understatement, but with work, volunteer positions, social stuff, I haven't had much time even to write (though I make myself sit down and write a little everyday). Though reading fic is still up there for enjoyable free-time activities! How about you?

Yeah. In the end the issue was more censorship and how little the people running LJ cared about the people using the service. There were no warnings, no inquiries, they just deleted stuff, which isn't cool. I still have a journal there, obviously, so it didn't upset me that much.

All right. There've been some ups and an unfortunate number of downs but things are mostly the same.

Yeah, stupidity on both sides, though erring on the LJ-end. I'm still going to be posting on LJ more, though, since I'm loath to change and I don't post much anyways. (And I have a permanent accountt here anyways)

Hm, that's tough... the last couple years were pretty rough in the USA people and I did have some trouble transitioning from Japan back to the USA. I'll try to keep in better touch this time around! I think I'm finally settled down again...
